It’s always been a misconception that chocolate dipped strawberries are fancy desserts that you are supposed to only get it from chocolate stores that charges a ton of money. No, stop it, it is super easy to make and we decided to make it even fancier with Nutella and hazelnut that basically makes it a strawberry Ferrero Rocher. If this doesn’t impress your Valentine, I don’t know what will.
Makes 15 servings
Prep time - 20 mins + chilling time
Ingredients
- 15 strawberries (washed and dried with paper towel)
- ½ cup Nutella
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate ( you can use dark, semi-sweet, white chocolate...etc depending on your preference)
- ¼ cup chopped toasted Hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp confectioners sugar (optional)
Directions
- Line a sheet pan with wax or parchment paper
- Remove the strawberry stems and pipe Nutella into the center (remove a small part of the center if the strawberry isn’t hollow)
- Melt chocolate in a bowl, insert a toothpick on the pointy part of the strawberry and dip the bottom ⅔ into melted chocolate and drip off the excess
- Dip the chocolate part into the chopped hazelnut
- Place the strawberry on the sheet pan with the pointy side up and remove the toothpick
- Put the strawberries into the fridge until the melted chocolate hardens
- Sift confectioners sugar on top of the strawberries (optional)
- Viola! Ready to enjoy!
